Tools for Struggling Learners
Within this site, you will find a compilation of literacy, math, science, and study tools geared toward struggling learners in grades 3-6. Students with learning disabilities need extra support in certain areas, so our goal was to make a wide range of supportive tools accessible through this site. Assistive Technology (AT) is advancing at a rapid pace, and new tools are constantly becoming available for struggling learners. While this is great news for teachers of students with learning disabilities, it can be hard to keep up with the latest educational tools. Our website is dedicated to providing up-to-date technological tools that will help you reach every child.
Every tool in this site reflects the ideals behind Universal Design for Learning (UDL) which is the idea that teachers must create a curriculum with a diverse range of students in mind. When these tools are implemented in the classroom, they help level the playing field by allowing all students to access the core curriculum in their own way. To learn more, visit About UDL and AT.
After exploring some of our tools, please visit the Scholarly Research tab to learn about effective methods for implementing them.
