OVERVIEW: If students are struggling with plotting points on a graph or understanding that the percentages of a pie chart must add up to 100%, this site provides a great scaffold for students to learn how to create their own graph. It allows students to create their choice of a pie chart, bar graph, line graph, area graph, or an XY plot. It allows the student to choose the design of their graph and input the data and labels. Finally, students can print or save their work. What separates this site apart from other graph-creating websites is its simplicity of use and the variety of graphs that students are able to create.
An additional aspect of this website that could be implemented in the classroom is the "Dare to Compare" tab. It allows students to take a brief quiz on any subject in their grade level, and it compares their results with the national and international average. This is a fun way for students to practice their math skills during the quiz, and then create a graph about the data afterward.
