Reading is often difficult for students with learning disabilities, and literacy skills are needed to access all subject areas including science, social studies, and math. For this reason, students who struggle with literacy may struggle in these other areas as a result. Fortunately, there are forms of Assistive Technology (AT) that can lighten the cognitive load for students to allow them to access the content of other courses without being weighed down by the struggle of reading the material.
