Bubbl.us is a free website that supplies students with a graphic organizer template. The website is easy to navigate, allowing students to brainstorm without constraints. The template allows for infinite ideas to be written with available color coding. The website is laid out like a “spider web” graphic organizer, ready and waiting for brainstorming activity. Much like a student would do on paper when creating a brainstorming web, the bubbl.us template allows students to start with a main idea and then build off of that idea with supporting ideas. The website allows the user to print or save the constructed brainstorming map. This allows for an effective safe-keeping of important ideas.
Bubbl.us could be an effective classroom implementation. The graphic organizing tool could be used as a universal learning device in the classroom. The tool could be used to motivate and cultivate students' ideas. The tool will assist every student in organizing their brainstorming, but it will also support the students who have trouble getting thoughts down on paper or have trouble organizing the numerous amounts of ideas they do have. Bubbl.us could be used as an introduction for students who desperately need to organize their thoughts and ideas and do not know where to begin. The easy to use template makes it easy for children to create meaningful and presentable representations of their ideas. Students can also be assured that their ideas will be kept safe with the save or print option available.
This picture is a screen shot of the organized brainstorm that I created through bubbl.us. I was able to organize my thoughts about my favorite singers. Bubbl.us allowed me to take all of the important information I knew about a particular topic and organize it. Through the use of bubbl.us, if I had to write a paper on this particular topic, I would be prepared to share my thoughts and ideas.
